During the 2025 National Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion Awards, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) was recognized for its outstanding leadership in creating an equitable working environment.
The corporation was honored for initiatives such as integrating Sign Language interpretation in news bulletins and flagship programs like 'Abled Differently', ensuring access to information for all Kenyans.
Recognizing the institutions paving the way for a more inclusive Kenya.






On December 18, 2025, the Gender and Disability Development Centre (GDDC) gathered champions at Safari Park Hotel under the theme "Inclusive Leadership for Sustainable Development."
Guided by MC Mr. Patrick Nanzoi with entertainment from Kipawa Kimoja Melodies, the gala honored institutions moving beyond compliance toward true equity.
Top honors recognized transformative organizations including the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (Inclusive Media), Kenya Bureau of Standards (Workplace Diversity), and the University of Nairobi (Higher Education Inclusion).
